Is it time to do something that’s just for you?
Would you like to travel in good company, but without a partner?
Do you want to experience one of the most iconic regions of France like a local?
A SPECIALLY CONCEIVED TRAVEL CONCEPT
We have been listening to the needs of our female guests. We understand it is frustrating, as a solo traveller, that the travel industry offers pricing based on “double occupancy” as standard. And in order for you to join in on a group tour, you are required to pay a “single supplement” to make up for the “missing” companion in a hotel’s double room. We’ve heard you, and we have come up with a solution that will ensure no single supplement.
For our inaugural Women’s Only tour to Magical Provence, we are reserving a historic country manor house, where everyone will have their own room! Provence has been a centuries’ old magnet for people wishing to experience beautiful landscape, wonderful weather and a relaxing atmosphere. As a result, many aristocratic families built summer homes, with adjoining fields…of sunflowers, vineyards, and fruit trees. These residences are still occupied, but by modern owners, who have transformed them with contemporary comforts. These Provencal mansions now have cosy living rooms, open plan kitchens (perfect for private chefs to run cooking lessons), outdoor terraces furnished with deck chairs and landscaped with fragrant herbs, and even swimming pools.
OUR HAND PICKED LOCATION
You will arrive at our private home-away-from-home, situated in the Southern Luberon region, not far from the aristocratic city of Aix en Provence and in the heart of Peter Mayle’s “A Year in Provence” countryside. The Luberon offers a dreamy mix of vineyards, olive trees and stone built villages and, in the month of May, fields covered with bright red poppies. How about a souvenir photo of you, living the French lifestyle, with these stunning landscapes in the background?!
WHAT YOU’LL ENJOY
We’ll offer a mix of hands-on activities, meeting local artisans in their homes and places of work, and opportunities to visit special places most visitors don’t have access to. Here’s just a little taste of what we are busy digging up and planning for you (most, but not all, will be worked into the itinerary depending on availability):
Did we mention fantastic, delicious meals, using fresh seasonal ingredients, accompanied by regional wines? But of course, “oui”! Every morning, you’ll be fuelled up with a privately catered breakfast at our manor home before setting out on our adventures. Lunches will be a combination of picnics, tastings, and meals in local bistrots. Dinners offer a variety of experiences, from a catered welcome dinner at home, to joining in with the chef preparing your own meal under his supervision, from meals at hand-picked restaurants with wonderful terraces and views, to a Michelin starred celebratory meal at the end our week together. On a few occasions, you’ll also have the time to wander and make your own discoveries for lunch or dinner.
HOW TO GRAB YOUR PLACE?
We’ll only take from 8 – 12 lucky guests. In this unique way of travel, we will initially gather a list of 8 committed travellers, and then take a waiting list. Once we have formed this group, we will reserve our manor house and put our final plans in place. We may also be able to extend rooms to women on our waiting list. A description of the accommodation will be provided to our guests at that time, along with a detailed itinerary.
If you want to be part of our Magical Provence…for Women tour, don’t hesitate. We have already sold out for our first tour. Join us for the second set of dates before its too late!
